Day 26 - Light Box Construction
Well, I did it! I built a light box. I need to pick up some tag board tomorrow to replace the tissue I'm using for backing paper but that was all I had available tonight. I also think I need stronger light bulbs.
I have another much larger box I want to create one from but that will need to wait a bit. I'm going to focus on the small items for a bit. In any case I was able to take some nice photos of some earrings I want to sell on eBay.

Day 20 - Light Box Light
I found this light a few weeks ago at work and no one wanted it. Last night I came across directions to make my own light box (see the laptop image). I'll need to get a new bulb for the lamp but I'm excited to create this for myself! I'll take photos of the process and share them. Especially if it works!

Day 19 - Hues of Blue
As I was leaving Physical Therapy this evening I was struck by how beautiful the range of blues in the sky were. I remembered I had my point and shoot in my purse so I rolled down my window and snapped a few photos. I realize I needed a tripod for a sharper image but I kind of like the hazy trees in the dusk. And yes, that IS the moon.

Day 18
"MLK day ON not day off" event co-sponsored by my school district and our city. There were many community (both local and far away) organizations set up with hands on projects. We decorated dog dishes for the Humane Society, made bookmarks for Literacy, toiletry bags for the local homeless shelter, letters for Veterans of WWII, and a program called "Reach for Change" which is helping Darfur. It was a wonderful experience and my 10yo "in the stripes" told me he really enjoyed participating for this event. We both walked away with a great feeling about volunteering!
